Our staff are hired in compliance with the State requirements and qualifications as a base minimum. Typical staff certifications are as follows: 


Lead Teacher:  at least 2 years experience

Teacher, Assistant/Aide:  Child care experience

The Center Director is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and quality of education, for all children within the center’s care.


   Desired Experience and Education

  • College degree in Child Development or related field or Child Development Certificate

  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.

  • 5 years of direct professional experience in an early childhood setting.

Business Administrator

The Assistant Director is responsible for assisting the Center Director in ensuring the health, safety, and quality of education for all children within the center’s care. Under the direction of the Center Director, the Assistant Director collaborates with staff to ensure that curriculum and classroom activities are properly delivered and that the needs of the students and the goals of the center are met appropriately.


   Desired Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in social services 

  • Business or human resources or related field of study with a minimum of 30 credits in Early Childhood Education

  • Or a Child Development Certificate.



The Teacher is responsible for developing a cohesive teaching team, coordinating the curriculum, and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. Teachers must understand children’s cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. The Teacher must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults in order to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide teacher assistants, and resolve parental concerns. 


   Desired Experience and Education

  • Associate’s Degree in early childhood education or related field of study with a minimum of 30 Credits in ECE

  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in ECE

Assistant Teacher

The Teacher Assistant, both full and part time positions, supports the Teachers and the Director by helping to create a caring and safe environment for the children and assisting in activities to improve the overall care and quality of education.  S/he must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment. Assisting the staff in implementing a quality educational program and in developing positive relationships with the children and their parents, the Teacher Assistant observes and documents children’s interest and progress, and relays that information back to parents and staff. Teacher Assistant is responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate activities based on children’s interests and needs under the direction of the Teacher and the Director.


   Desired Experience and Education

  • Teaching experience in ECE

Food Service Coordinator

The Food Service Coordinator prepares and serves meals and snacks to center children according to the National Adult and Child Care Food Program regulations. The Food Service Coordinator is responsible for maintenance, cleanliness, inventory, and safety of the kitchen during learning center hours.


   Desired Experience and Education

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a commercial kitchen
    Minimum Ohio Level 1 Food Handlers Training preferred Level 2
